OOOH!  I forgot to post the quickie card I made for my husband.  It features our African Grey Parrot called Bobby and I superimposed a santa hat on his head and added a touch of glitter.  Used Print and Cut on my Black Cat Cougar to do the text and stuck it all on a stepper card.  Cute!!

Like I said before... Happy Christmas one and all and all the best for a Happy New Year.  Here's to the best crafting year ever!!!

This has to be the simplest, quickest card ever.  It's made with the Hunkydory Jewelled Elegance Collection - Diamond Florals.  It's not my normal kind of crafting but hey, it's Christmas Eve, I am busy and I have to make a quick card for someone who is 40 on 27th December.

It's a base card from the pack and two embellishments.  The sentiment just says Happy Birthday.  I like the kit though and you can do so much with them.

OK Well - I'm off to get ready for Santa.  Happy Christmas everybody and all the best for 2012!!

I wanted to make something a bit special for my mum.  She relies on a lot of Carers to help her and so I always make extra of my cards to send from her so I can't really give her that card from me!!  Some time ago, I bought the Polkadoodles Christmas Boutique Magazine with kit and I was having a look through there for inspiration and wow..... I was blown away by one of the designs so it is an absolutely unashamed copy but I am so thrilled with it and mum will love it too.  Hope you like it.  I used the stamps in the kits.  The floor-base of the card is made by a concertina of acetate, ice dust sprinkled over it and then the stamps coloured and cut out with Promarkers and glittered, glued into place and then one A4 sheet of acetate folded in half over the top and stuck down to the base.  A couple of borders cut on the machine hides the tape holding on the acetate cover.  I then made a label with my Print and Cut Black Cat Cougar machine and attached it to the top.  Oh and a Spellbinders rose and feather to add the finishing touch.  The photo just doesn't do it justice.  I might try to take another one in the daylight to see if it comes out better and replace these.

These are the cards I made for my little grandchildren.  The cut files are from Shirley Young's Cards and inside there is a insert to which I added text and in Lola's card, I put in a little line drawing of Looby Lou and in Ethan's card, I put a little robot!  I used my Black Cat Cougar which enables me to print and cut..... fab machine... every serious crafter should have one!!  I would have made more of the cards - perhaps mounted them onto something else with more decoration but I am nursing a viral infection and was getting too tired... just wanted to get them done!!  Hope you like them......

Bobby is our African Grey Parrot.  He has been living with us since 1997 and he was around three and a half years old at that time so now he is in his late teens.  He is a talking parrot and has a good vocabulary although nowadays, he prefers to listen more than talk!  We were looking around for a holiday place for him where he would be looked after well whilst we are away.  We were so lucky to be told about Rebecca at Becks Bird Barn.  Bobby has been to stay three times already this year and he absolutely loves it there.  So, I thought he would like to send a very special card to say Happy Christmas and here it is....
